::Fall Windfall Dolls Giveaway :: Meet Sienna

 Welcome to our fifth large Windfall Doll giveaway!

Four times a year we will be holding a seasonal giveaway of one of our larger Waldorf Inspired Dolls.  Each monthly doll's name will be inspired by the month in which they were created.

For our Autumn Windfall Doll giveaway, we would like to introduce you to Sienna.

::Sienna:: Meaning reddish orange in color.

::A bit about Sienna::
Sienna is our Fall girl.
Her hair is the color of the trees here in the Adirondacks...of pumpkins and warm fire flames.

She loves to go outside to walk by the river.

To sit on the rocks cushioned by moss and listen the the river waters run.

Once she has dipped her toes into the chilly water and talked with the beavers that keep their homes there... so tall and wooden, she heads back down the trail back home.

She stays warm all bundle up in her mama and Auntie made frocks.

:: The details::

Sienna is made using our Standard Waldorf Inspired Pattern... out of interlock, stuffing and wool.

Her long hair is made with gorgeous orange variegated thick thin wool yarn.

Her wardrobe is handmade as always.  Her pants and bonnet are made from an upcycled sweater and the heart patch on the side of her hat is a special little piece of fabric; as it was a gifted piece of fabric from one of past Windfall Winners; Thank you Miss Cinnamon.

Her dress is made using our regular dress pattern, but for a bit of added detail, I turned the seams outward to give a more vintage feel.

Her sweater vest is her favorite part,  so soft and warm.   Perfectly fitting over her little head and all of that orange hair.

Her orange eyes are a bit unconventional in that they are orange... but I adore them because her sister Emelia designed them.  her lips are pursed and pretty pink.

If you are interested in having Sienna join your family, please let us know what it is that you love about her and how you will make her a part of your family.

It saddens us to mention this, but we just want to be clear.  Please do not comment if you are planning on selling this doll.  She is meant to go to a family who will appreciate her.  It would break our hearts if she was given to someone with poor intentions.

::The making of a face::

Emelia decided that it was high time that her newest friend get some eyes and lips.  It has been months afterall and she wanted to hear her new friend tell her all about her life.

I promised her soon.  And then "soon"became weeks.
Oops.

Apparently, I took too long and Emelia took matters into her own hands.  I found her sitting on the sewing room table with a doll needle in one hand and her new friend laying at her feet.

I asked her if I could help her and she said "Nope Mama, I have it."

And so she did.

She ran her fingers through her new friend's hair and decided that yes... orange eyes were just the ticket.

It took all the self control that I could muster not to take the needle from her hands, but I didn't.

And the end result of rectangle eyes that she decided on surprised and delighted the us both.
A change from the norm.

Perfect, my girl.  Just perfect!

When we sat later...the THREE of us and shared a bit of tea and cookies, I listened as our new friend told my sweet Emelia how thankful she was for her superb work and just how much she liked to see her new world now.

A world that will grow in leaps and bounds in a few weeks when she goes on to join her new family after our Seasonal Windfall Dolls Giveaway.

See you then.
