Each month leading up to our regular Seasonal Large Waldorf Doll giveaway as promised...we will be sewing up a few smaller dolls for giving away. This includes not only our Lillipals variety of dolls, but our Baby Dolls, our Swaddle babies, newborn babies, our Wee Ones, and any other small dolls that we come up with.
A bit of a tide-me-over for all of our readers.
Each monthly small doll's name will be inspired by the month in which they were created.
::::
As our August giveaway babe, we have the adorable Alivia ...a Lillipal girl.
:::::::::::
Alivia:: Latin meaning olive tree
::Alivia's story::
Emelia woke up this morning to greet the day. Like every day, she went to the door and checked to see what the weather would bring for her.
When she looked out the door, she saw that the sun was very very low. It was bright and yellow and beautiful. The closer that Emelia got to the door, the more mesmerizes she became with the sun.
Once she got out onto the porch she noticed that the sun was not the sun after all. It was someone's hair! Bright and yellow and beautiful.
Emelia hopped up onto the railing and inspected the new friend who's hair had captured her attention so. She found a little girl sitting quietly staring at the flowers that grew tall in the flower box.
Emelia asked the doll what name Mama had given her and what she was doing outside so early in the morning.
The new friend replied that her name was Alivia and that she had snuck out of the closet before Mama woke to pick some flowers to surprise her with when she finally did wake.
Unfortunately though, Alivia was unable to reach the prettiest flowers to pick.
Emelia helped Alivia down off of the railing and led her down the stairs.
She knew of just the spot to pick the prettiest of flowers.
Alivia grew tired halfway down the stairs and Emelia patted her on her back and whispered that she would be right back.
Alivia watched as Emelia picked an arm full of the lovely pink flowers.
And when Emelia returned from the garden, she had a gift for her new friend Alivia.
A single bloom of her own. To match her beautiful headband.
Alivia sat on the steps and sniffed the pretty flower until the sun finished rising in the sky.
:: The details::
She is 11 inches tall.
Her hair is pure wool and is hand crocheted into a cap secured to her head.
She holds her massive amount of hair out of her eyes with a rosette hair band with a satin ribbon.
Her wardrobe is entirely handmade by us.
She wears a cotton polkadot dress.
( or as Emelia prefers to call it...a tunic "Since she is wearing pants under it Mama!" )
Her little face has become one of my favorites. I adore the bright blue eyes and her sweet pink lips.
She is always happy, and that is contagious. I assure you.
If you are interested in having Alivia join your family, please become a follower of this blog, or like our shop on Etsy or our Facebook Page .

It
saddens us to mention this, but we just want to be clear. Please do not
comment if you are planning on selling this doll. She is meant to go
to a family who will appreciate her. It would break our hearts if she
was given to someone with poor intentions.
May 28th? We would love to be entered...! Thanks!
