::February Windfall Dolls Giveaway::Meet Felicity

::::
Each month leading up to our regular Seasonal Large Waldorf Doll giveaway as promised...we will be sewing up a few smaller dolls for giving away.  This includes not only our Lillipals variety of dolls, but our Swaddle babies.

A bit of a tide-me-over for all of our readers.

Each monthly small doll's name will be inspired by the month in which they were created.
::::

As our February giveaway babe, we have the adorable Felicity.

:::::::::::

::Felicity:: Meaning lucky or fortunate.
A bit about Felicity:

Felicity is a wee infant baby girl.  She was born in the frigid Adirondacks and she likes to be bundled.

She is just learning to find her body parts, and she loves to bend up her legs to try to grab them with her little hands.

Bringing them straight to her mouth.

Her absolute favorite thing is when her Daddy unfastens her shirt and blows raspberries on her belly.  It makes her giggle.

She is practicing sitting up, but falls over easily.

So she prefers to lay on her blanket by the window and watch the birds at the feeder.

Her coordinating layette includes a cross over baby shirt with velcro closure, a cloth diaper, and of course, she is never without her bonnet, as she has no hair yet.

Felicity is entirely handmade by us using our newly developed Newborn baby Waldorf doll package.

If you are interested in having Felicity join your family, please let us know what it is that you love about her and how you will make her a part of your family.

Also, please become a follower of this blog and leave a comment at the end of this post. The giveaway will be open for one week.  We will randomly choose a winner at night on March 7th and we will contact the winner via email.

Be sure to leave your email in your comment so that we can contact you!

For an extra chance to win:

~Write about Windfall Dolls on your Blog (feel free to use a picture of Felicity) and leave another comment letting us know that you did so.

Each comment counts as one entry

It saddens us to mention this, but we just want to be clear.  Please do not comment if you are planning on selling this doll.  She is meant to go to a family who will appreciate her.  It would break our hearts if she was given to someone with poor intentions.

  1. My oldest absolutely LOVES dolls and stuffed animals. These combine both and they move. She is perfect for my daughter. Her bonnet and diaper have my favorite color on them.

  2. I have appreciated your handmade Waldorf dolls for a good while, since I found you through sewmamasew. Right now would be the best time to have Felicity join us. My oldest child is almost 6 years old and praticing mothering on her baby brother. He has just passed his first birthday and is in love with all things baby. He is a very sweet boy who hugs and kisses his cloth and fluffly dolls. Felicity would be loved by all!

  8. Oh my she is beautiful! My husband and I have very different skin colors (though we are both what I lovingly refer to as "American Mutt"). Our three children each wear differing skin tones, as well, and I love Felicity's color. That may sound kind of strange, since we're basically a "color-blind" family, but she's just so lovely! A little "milky mocha" like my daughter, beautiful blue eyes, like my baby boy (both of whom would LOVE to love on Felicity!)... just lovely!

  13. What a lovely girl... I would love to welcome her at our home. It would be a nice pratice to my son when he gets a sibling! He could take care of his own baby.

  14. Felicity is just lovely and seeing her reminds me of those first cold and snowy weeks at the end of 2010 when we brought our baby daughter home. Now my baby is evolving into a little girl and I want her to have all the joy and memories that made my own childhood so wonderful. I may not be able to give her the farm upbringing I had, but we are striving for her to love nature and the simple things life has to offer. Felicity would be welcomed and loved at our home (and even get to visit her "birth" state on trips to grandma's house in Saratoga)!

  15. we would love to bring Felicity into our home. My son would love a baby sister or brother but due to health issues we won't be able to. My son would love to make Felicity his new baby sister. He would take her on all his exciting adventures and he would look after her!

  18. Felicity is so sweet and adorable. My daughter glanced at the computer as I was looking at the pictures and got very excited. Both she and my 3 year old son have been playing a lot of dolls lately (mostly with a stuffed monkey and bear). They would love to have a beautiful baby to care for. Thanks! kristie_keely(at)yahoo(dot)com

  19. She's so sweet! We are unexpectedly expecting a baby in the fall and have heard lots of talk about changing babies diapers at our house. I think she would enjoy being at our house just the other day we say a young hawk land in the tree outside our window with some lunch. It was fun to watch. Thanks so much!

  20. She is so adorable and would be very loved by my baby doll doting daughter! She is six yo, an only child and she regards her dolls as her close friends and siblings. She attends a waldorf school here in seattle and really understands what it means to take care of these special beings as family members. Thank you for sharing your talent!

  21. She is so sweet. My darling daughter would love to make this sweet baby her own. She has always loved baby dolls and has a sweet but small collection. I'm pretty sure this one would be extra special to her because she is so soft a sweet. There are a few older dollies who would care for her when her new mommy was a school or away for the day. She would never be alone and there are even a few sweet animals here to play with as well. There is one very old wise bear who watches over all of the lovely babies that live in the little room at the end of the hall. Said bear even has a pillow for baby Felicity to sleep on during the day at nap time. Thanks for sharing these sweet babies with all of us.

  27. Very very cute sweetie! We love dolls at our house! We much prefer the "soft" dolls to hard plastic. I am not a granola person, but do have a hard time with most of the dolls in the world today. There is something marvelous about a Waldorf doll! I even used to make them. She would be very loved and hugged lots here! Thanks so much for the chance :)

  38. What a beautiful little doll, she reminds this grandma of her youngest granddaughter, M., who is 6 months old and starting to sit up and still a little wobbly. Felicity would not be staying at grandma's house but would live with baby M., her 2 big brothers and mom and dad. I would love to give Felicity to M. as her very first doll to love.

  39. I have two sons, and my oldest who is four has begun playing "house" and "papa" and carrying a doll around in a sling. Little brother, who is 17 months old, would love to have his very own baby dolly, because there is often fights over the one that we have. I love that Felicity is just the right size to be my baby's baby, and that she was made with love, generosity and good intention - hand made toys made with these are the best kind, in my mind.
