My sewing room has been a busy space lately. Lots and lots of babies coming to life.
Lots.
Each month leading up to our regular Seasonal Large Waldorf Doll giveaway as promised...we will be sewing up a few smaller dolls for giving away. This includes not only our Lillipals variety of dolls, but our Swaddle babies.
A bit of a tide-me-over for all of our readers.
Each monthly small doll's name will be inspired by the month in which they were created.
As our January giveaway babe, we have sweet little Jolie.
:::::::::::
::Jolie:: French, meaning pretty
A bit about Jolie...
Jolie is a swaddled newborn, fresh from her Mama's belly. She was a bit chilly when she left her warm bath and was greeted with open arms and placed upon her Mama's chest.
She quickly tucked her arms and legs up close to her body and was immediately swaddled in her pretty, soft flannel blanket.
On her bald little head, a sweet handknit kitty cat cap was placed.
Jolie is entirely handmade by us using Adirondack Patterns swaddle baby pattern. She is a petite 10 inches tall.
If you are interested in having Jolie join your family, please let us know what it is that you love about her and how you will make her a part of your family.
Also, please become a follower of this blog and leave a comment at the end of this post. The giveaway will be open for one week. We will randomly choose a winner at night on February 7th and we will contact the winner via email.
Be sure to leave your email in your comment so that we can contact you!
For an extra chance to win:
~Write about Windfall Dolls on your Blog (feel free to use a picture of Jolie) and leave another comment letting us know that you did so.

It saddens us to mention this, but we just want to be clear. Please do not comment if you are planning on selling this doll. She is meant to go to a family who will appreciate her. It would break our hearts if she was given to someone with poor intentions.
Lovely little doll. I know my little girl would love to be her mommy.
ReplyDeleteShe is completely adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe would love to have little Jolie in our home. She looks so snuggly in her hat and swaddle blanket! We are welcoming a new baby to our home in July and this would be the perfect "new baby" gift for our two year old who is going to most likely have a hard time with the transition ( she is a mommas girl!).

Oh I have a little one that will be turning two soon - he would absolutely love to have a baby of his own (instead of sharing big brother's). Her size would be perfect for him. buttonwarsnplasticpotatoes@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteJolie is the picture of comfort in her little blanket and hat. I would love to have her in our home as a reminder of the comfort of home! She is precious. ~Erica warmaspiedesigns@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteJolie is adorable! My son is turning one in one week and I can't think of a better way to mark the occasion than for him to have a little baby to care for. He gives so much love to our kitties, I'm sure that he would welcome Jolie into our home with delight.

ReplyDeleteoh my goodness she is gorgeous. My 17mo daughter has just discovered baby dolls and at the moment the plainer the better. She likes to cuddle them close and but them to bed, this would be the perfect sleeping baby for her (she likes to go shhhhhhh when they are sleeping). At the moment we have a mix of teddies, a plastic doll and a waldorf doll that has a little too much fuzzy hair for her liking.
ReplyDeleteWhat do i like about this doll, the simplicity of the face, the lack of hair and yet still a nose to 'beep'.
She is so lovely, I actually pinned your pattern the other day to make one day! I'd love to have one for my wee daughter Annie, (I accidentally commented on an earlier post the other day). We live in Christchurch, NZ and this week "celebrated" 10,000 earthquakes and aftershocks. I think Annie would love this little baby to cuddle.
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet! I love the sweet kitty cap and the floral print on her swaddle blanket. One of my dearest friends recently moved across the country with her daughter, and her daughter and I have begun writing letters to each other, and if I win, I would mail it to her - she's five and I miss her so much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bubba :-) I can imagine my little ones giving her lots of love and attention here :-) And I'm already a follower!
ReplyDeleteOmg!! I want Jolie in our family for my little girl Macy. I have always loved all things French and loved the bane Jolie. We even have a doll name Jolie that is a french doll that speaks French when her hans she would be a perfect fit for our family, oh and my email is douxbelle@comcast.net it's French too ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little doll! I have a 3 yr old daughter who loves to spoil dolls. She already wraps her plastic doll up in blankets and insists on buckling it into the car. I think she would love to have a sweet, soft, adorable little doll like this to snuggle with.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! I would love to give Jolie a home, but I have a question. My two year old loves babies and unfortunately is in the "undress" stage - does the swaddling come off? If so I would have to tack it on (or have you do it?) so baby wouldn't be unwrapped. I'd hate for her to get a chill!!! And that hat - love it!
ReplyDeleteShe is so gorgeous, we would love to have her in our home. My 2 1/2 year old daughter would be over the moon to be her friend. marnie.armstrong@gmail.com
ReplyDeletehappy to follow along.. i love waldorf dolls. thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, she is just lovely. My little girl is just getting big enough now to want a little baby dolly of her own. Maybe it will be a friend for her to care for when/if we are blessed with another little baby in our family. I know kids love to imitate Mummy & Daddy & Help look after new babies.

ReplyDeleteI love her little nose! My girl would love to snuggle Jolie. Thank you. mamalusco at ortelco dot net
ReplyDeleteShe's just beautiful. I'm expecting another baby in July, and I'd love my big girls to look after her.
ReplyDeleteI love how snug she looks in her swaddle, and love the thought of my daughter taking her anywhere and everywhere as she does her most cherished 'babies.' We are hoping to add to our family later this year and I have a few 'big sister' gifts in mind when that time comes--this is definitely one of them!

She is so so sweet. I love her hat, her snugglyness and cuddliness. My little girl would love to love her and tend to her every need as well as take her on a great many adventures! Thanks for the chance to win such a gorgeous piece of your heart. Good luck to everyone!

I like her little nose and warm hat. She would be much loved by my 18m old daughter, Eden, who just adores babies! (real and play) She gets all excited when she sees a baby in a picture or sees a new doll. She is also very protective of her own babies and like to wrap them up in a blanket and rock them. :)
