~::About Windfall Dolls::~

Do you remember your first doll?  Do you remember cradling it in your arms, swaddling it in a blanket, singing it to sleep?  Do you remember the love that you felt for it.

How it prepared you for the moment when you would hold your own babe in your arms and know just what you were doing?

We do.

And that is why we started Windfall Dolls.

You see, although we have been asked to do so.....we do not sell our dolls.  We DO create dolls during the year and while we love to save our creations, we have decided that these dolls need homes outside of our closets.   Happy homes with sweet children who wish to have a handmade doll to love...to be the recipients of a windfall.

We call these dolls our Windfall dolls.

Windfall dolls are handcrafted Waldorf inspired dolls made with love and by hand using any one of our own patterns as seen below in our shop.

They are frequently made using recycled materials and are always made with care.

We have decided to offer our Windfall dolls for giveaway.

Windfall dolls are offered via a raffle – Meaning that if you are interested in the doll, you will leave a comment at the end of the giveaway post. We will randomly choose a winner one week later and contact the winner via email.

See, how easy is that?!?!?!

One comment per household please.

We will hold a giveaway four times a year for our large dolls, as the seasons change (with giveaways for other items from our store mixed in through out the year).

Each doll will be inspired by the season in which they are being given away.

Each month leading up to our regular Seasonal Large Waldorf Doll giveaway as promised...we will be sewing up a few smaller dolls for giving away.  This includes not only our Lillipals variety of dolls, but our Baby Dolls, our Swaddle babies, newborn babies, our Wee Ones, and any other small dolls that we come up with.
A bit of a tide-me-over for all of our readers.

Ideally Windfall dolls will go to a family who is either unable to afford or unable to make a doll, but the giveaway is open to everyone.  All that is asked is that the winner pay shipping.

Thank you.
Julia and Laura

  9. Lovely idea. I love the dolls too. My baby boy is 14 months old and he already is starting to snugle one or another toy. A baby for him to care would be great.

  10. How sweet of you both!! I would love a baby for my nine month. I wish I has the talent to make one for her. Blessing to you!

  11. What a lovely idea. I would love one for my youngest. Today in Christchurch we experienced our 10000 shake, yes ten thousand earthquakes! And I want to get a really snugly doll for Annie to love!

  12. A beautiful gesture and the sweetest of dolls. Truly inspirational!

  13. Perfect for my Grandaughter, Katherine. Your dolls are wonderful. Thanks for your generosity.

  14. We found out my friend is having a girl. She has tried for 7 years and finally got pregnant with invetro. I am so happy for her. She is due in the fall and one of your dolls would be a great present for her.

  15. I would love one of your dolls for my daughter, Myla. She has been asking for a new baby from "my belly," but this would be a lovely alternative.

  16. What a generous offer! I sit and peruse doll sites with my daughter wistfully looking at all of the beauty. They are typically too cost prohibitive for us. I will keep coming back to check on your fall giveaway. Her hair is fantastic!

  17. what a beautiful and generous idea. Your dolls are amazing...my daughter would be ecstatic

  18. I loved playing with my dolls when I was a child and cried when my mother gave them away to a younger cousin in need. She had just arrived from Vietnam and had no dolls or toys. I reluctantly gave them up and I was left with one doll. I forgot all about how much I love dolls until I had my first baby girl 10 months ago after 2 boys. She's a doll herself and I can't wait to give my daughter her first doll, then I'll have 2 lovely dolls.

You're generous thoughts have crossed the universe.

  19. generous idea! what is better than a doll made with love !
